OOOOOKKKKAYYYY, THIS is the big update! haha.

We have been in CDMX for almost two weeks and are sad to leave on Saturday, but there are so many more magical places in Mexico.  I'll be updating with stories and much more frequently on my Instagram, @sirjackson_esq (pic of profile below), but saving some great photos for FB. At end of this post we will have our general timeline for the next 3 months, so PLEASE if you will be here or have great friends we should meet, hit us ups!!

One of the 1st things we like to do is either do a walking tour or a open air double decker bus to get the "lay of the land." about 5 years ago, we did a great walking tour, so we decided to to the bus for $15, you can do all 4 routes and its good for 24 hrs, and hop-on hop-off, so you can stop pretty much anywhere along the route so see the amazing architecture!

We are staying at a wonderful place called Sonder Cóporo. This is a world wide extended stay modern apartment brand and we are impressed. A full month for a one bedroom studio is about $1200usd. This place is nice, very modern with a security guard and  manager on site at all times that speaks English. They even provide all usables, like laundry detergent pods, toilet paper, dishsoap, etc.

In case you were wondering, our goal for accomodations (AirbnB, Hotel, Guest Houses) is under $1200usd per month. CDMX will be one of the more expensive places, but our next stop for a week is only $180usd. Thats taxes and everything!

We have been half tourists and half residents, doing regular stuff, like going to the grocery store and movies, but at least once a day, we go to something new! Could be a new street food vendor or a museum, sometimes just a stroll through one of the many beautiful urban parks. Six Flags was our splurge day last Friday and IT WAS CRAAAZY. Not sure if those rides would be legal in the US, hahah.

I am very proud of Anna Jackson. Every Sunday from 8am-2pm there is a major street blocked off from cars AND free bikes. We got a tandem bike and Anna struggled through the bikeride. We both have been dealing with anxiety concerning two wheel vehicles on the street (you can imagine why). But she toughed it out, even though she was still scared (me too), and still is.

We feel so much healthier here from the natural food supply and we walk miles everyday (sorry Austin, but you need too much driving). Mentally and physically happy and healthy, that's the goal, right?!  Well cheers to the beginning of a beautiful journey with the woman that I love and the great support of YOU, our friends and family.
